Teahouses (Most Common)
Teahouses are the standard accommodation along the Manaslu Circuit route. They usually offer:
- Twin-sharing rooms with simple beds

- Shared bathroom and toilet
- Common dining hall with stove heating
- Basic charging and Wi-Fi (extra cost)
At lower elevations, accommodation is generally more comfortable, while facilities become more basic as you approach the high-altitude sections.
Lodges and Guesthouses
In villages such as Machha Khola, Namrung, Lho, Samagaun, and Samdo, trekkers can find simple lodges and guesthouses with:
- Basic private or twin-sharing rooms
- Dining areas with stove heating
- Hot showers at some lower and mid-altitude locations
- Local and basic Western food options
- Charging facilities, usually for an extra cost
Accommodation becomes more limited and basic at Dharamsala/Larkya Phedi, particularly during peak trekking seasons.
Accommodation at a Higher Altitude
As you climb toward Samdo (3,875m) and Dharamsala (4,460m), accommodation becomes more basic:
- Small and simple rooms
- Thin walls and colder sleeping areas
- Shared toilets
- Limited hot water
- Limited electricity and Wi-Fi
- Basic food choices
Temperatures can become very cold at night, especially around Dharamsala, so trekkers should carry warm layers and a suitable sleeping bag.
Cost of Accommodation
Room prices are generally affordable, although prices may increase at higher elevations.
Approximate room cost per night:
- Lower villages: NPR 300–600
- Namrung / Lho / Samagaun: NPR 500–800
- Samdo / Dharamsala: NPR 500–1,000
Hot showers, charging, and Wi-Fi may cost extra depending on the lodge.

Samagaun is one of the best places to stay on the Manaslu Circuit because it offers:

- Traditional Himalayan village atmosphere

- Dining facilities
- A convenient location for acclimatization before continuing to higher elevations
Dharamsala is another important overnight stop, as it is the final accommodation point before crossing Larkya La Pass.
